Lallemand Introduces Hevani™: A New Generation Aroma Ingredient

Reinach, Switzerland – Lallemand is excited to announce the launch of Hevani™, a groundbreaking vanillin produced through precision fermentation. This innovative process, acquired through Lallemand’s recent acquisition of Evolva, leverages yeast-based technology to produce high-purity natural ingredients year-round, while preserving natural resources.

Versatile Applications

Hevani™ can be used in a variety of food products, including chocolate, confectionery, bakery, cereals, and dairy, as a natural alternative to synthetic vanillin. It enhances mouthfeel, boosts specific flavor notes, and provides an intense vanilla taste. Approved for use in flavors in both the EU and the US, Hevani™ does not require GMO labeling.

In addition to its flavor applications, Hevani™ is an excellent fragrance ingredient for products such as perfumes, lipsticks, and balms. It is approved for use in fragrances and cosmetics in the US and EU, and is not restricted by IFRA.

Precision Fermentation Technology

Hevani™ is produced using precision fermentation technology acquired through Lallemand’s recent acquisition of Evolva. This cutting-edge technology allows for the production of high-purity natural ingredients by leveraging yeast-based processes.
