Our whole cell
yeast products are derived from either
primary or
brewers yeast from the genus
Saccharomyces cerevisiae. They have been
deactivated by heat and dried.
Our whole cell yeast products can provide a number of food
enhancement benefits and represents a natural and healthy way to enhance your
food products. Whole cell yeast products, with the cell wall present, are
designed to add mouthfeel and texture to the food they are added. They can also
be used for their emulsification and flavour enhancement properties.

LBI products are a range of whole cell yeast from Primary Grown or Brewerss Yeast.
They are used in many food preparation applications for their nutritional and savory flavor contributions. They promote texture / mouthfell enhancement while imparting natural emulsification properties. LBI's Tora line, can also be used in seasoning blends as flavor carriers and are an effective alternative to Torula Yeast.

Primary Grown
Engevita® brand is primary grown Inactive Yeast from a 'select' strain of the species Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. Roller drum dried, it provides a 'Mild' to 'Nutty / Toasted' savory flavor profile. Engevita is a natural source of Readily Assimilated Protein, is rich in Dietary Fiber and Essential Micro Nutrients, such as Minerals and B Complex Vitamins (Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Folic Acid and Vitamin B12). When incorporated into foods, Engevita improves savory profiles, texture and nutritional value.
Depending on the product type, Engevita offers a variety of vitamin concentrations to target various vitamin supplementation needs, including 'Vitamin B12', that is essential to balanced Vegetarian diets.
